Welcome to the Highlands’ Independent
Education College

We offer two main programmes to help you with your chosen subject:

1. Private tuition to support and supplement work students are doing in school or college, especially popular for Highers, available at all stages

2. Part-time learning courses for adults and children across a wide range of languages, art, creative writing, dance and drama, computing and maths.

Private tuition is arranged on demand to suit each pupil’s needs and includes most school subjects at all stages, as well as our popular Progress Tests in English and Maths. Our Tutors are knowledgeable about the Scottish school curriculum, some specialise in working with younger children and the 3Rs or Learning Support, others are experienced in teaching subjects through to Advanced Higher levels.

Particularly popular is our range of courses supporting Highers: a bank of grateful testimonials accumulated since 1999 indicate the excellent results that tutor and student can together achieve.

Our courses offer a choice of eight languages in four course types; creative writing, drawing and painting; computing, and more. Senior daytime discounts and special Seniors Only classes. Day and evening classes to suit your schedule.

Children’s programme includes our ever-popular Saturday Stars Stage School, art and craft, languages, and Magical Maths.

Moray Firth Tutorial College opened in Inverness town centre in August 2011, extending and expanding the long-established Moray Firth Tutorial School. With over 50 well-qualified and carefully checked Tutors on our register, we can offer private tuition or small-group learning for all ages and stages, Primary school all the way through Secondary education, as well as evening classes for Adult Education. Most students choose to study with us for an hour or two a week, but our tuition is bespoke and we always try to respond to individual needs.
