THE NEW SESSION IS UNDRWAY AND ALREADY WE ARE IN DEMAND! SCIENCE SPECIALISTS ARE PARTICULARLY WELCOME, BUT WE NEED TUTORS IN ALL SUBJECTS!
Moray Firth Tutorial College acts as an agency on behalf of well qualified, experienced tutors across a wide range of subjects. According to their qualifications and experience, tutors support and supplement the work of schoolchildren at all stages, and/or adults in a mix of the creative arts or languages.
We have constant demand for staff in two main areas:
1. PRIVATE TUITION
For pupils of any age, on a 1:1 or small group basis, at home or at a range of hired town centre venues. Strong demand at Higher level for English, Maths and the Sciences. Tutors wishing to teach any subject towards a National Qualification (e.g. Highers) must be completely familiar with SQA requirements. We have occasional demand for tuition towards GCSEs and A Levels, and for college or university support or work-related qualifications. Primary tutoring, particularly literacy and numeracy, is equally in demand: you must be experienced at helping children overcome problems in these areas. Tutoring of this kind is normally aimed at supporting and supplementing work children or students are doing at school or college, although we also support home-educating families.
2. INDEPENDENT COURSES FOR ADULTS & CHILDREN
Demand for Languages is considerable and native-speaking teachers are particularly welcome. The Creative Arts are modestly popular too and we welcome practising artists and writers to teach classes on a regular or occasional basis. We also welcome tutors of subjects not currently on offer: please contact us if you wish to suggest a new course that prospective students may be interested in.
Prospective tutors can offer hours of work according to their availability and circumstances. Individual tutors liaise with each student to arrange mutually convenient times to meet: Course tutors arrange classes according to their own and venue availability and students demand.
If you are a graduate or equivalent, have suitable experience and are interested in tutoring for us, please contact Anna on 01349830044 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss possibilities. We look forward to hearing from you.
